Your Instagram bio is your digital elevator pitch! Let's craft it to captivate and convert!
Before you begin: Define your goals. Are you selling art? Connecting with students? Building a network? This will guide your bio's message.
Profile picture: Use a high-resolution, clear photo. Go beyond a simple headshot – e.g., artwork in the background, add a circle boarder, include text over the JPG. It adds context and personality, visually showcasing your art brand.
Bio lines: Be concise & compelling. You have four lines to use strategically.
🔷 Line 1. What you do, be specific: “Painting art for the modern minimalist,” or “Capturing the beauty of urban landscapes in watercolor.”
🔷 Line 2. What makes you different: "Blending realism with fantasy," or "Personalized coaching for artists."
🔷 Line 3. Why your audience should care: "Elevating Your Space with Statement Art,” or “Say goodbye to 'blah,' hello to 'wow' with art that transforms your home.”
🔷 Line 4. Call to action: "Take home original art,” or “Your vision, my canvas: commissions open,” or "Work with me."
Also important...
Word Count: Anything longer than 150 words is hidden behind “more…”
Visual Cues: Keep each line a standalone sentence or phrase. Enhance text with emoji-led bullet points.
Links: You get two. Use them wisely – direct to your artist web site. If you have more links, check out Linktree (or similar) to consolidate multiple links into one.
