Service Description

If you are a beginner, you’ll have the opportunity to learn composition, color mixing, mark making, and more, all in a welcoming environment. If you are an advanced artist, Jodie will help you create your most honest work through understanding the personal energy you bring to your art, embracing your personal mark making, and how you choose the color combinations in a more intuitive way. Beginner, intermediate, and advance artists -- this workshop will help you and your art advance to a new level in a judgement-free, joy-filled zone. You’ll learn: • How to loosen up as you create • How to truly have FUN in the process • The magic of color mixing and values • Composition tips that will seriously take your art to the next level • What to do when you’re stuck • The 4 elements that ALL great paintings possess (you’ll be surprised by #1) • How to incorporate your personal energy into your art • Jodie’s personal painting techniques and process • How to choose colors in an intuitive way • How to use meditation and journaling to impart your voice into your art While Jodie will do lots of demonstrations in the workshop, she doesn’t teach you to paint like her…but instead for you to paint YOUR Honest Art. Why? Because, as she says, “When we create Honest Art, we have the power to change ourselves, and the world. Honest Art carries the powerful energy of authenticity, and therefore creates the greatest impact. Plus, it's just so effing cool!” $2,850 registration includes paint & basic supplies. Lunch, refreshments & a welcome reception also included. Artists are responsible for transportation & lodging. See the Student Info page for recommendations.
