Service Description

To add your name to the WAIT LIST, contact: Beverly Todd, Explore the magic and beauty of painting an abstract field of flowers inspired by your imagination and memory. You'll discover the unique process of mark-making and engage with a blend of writing and scratching tools to unveil countless approaches to create cohesive work with color harmony and composition all while loosening up and losing yourself in a field of flowers. You'll explore mark marking and how to use it on layers throughout your pieces, learn to harmonize your acrylic colors to create beautifully cohesive paintings, and create several pieces of art using both paper and canvas. Each day will be a combination of exercises, demonstrations, and lots of painting time. You’ll receive personalized coaching and feedback during the entire workshop for each step of the process. Leave with new techniques and processes to incorporate into your own artwork, new friends to add to your tribe, and many new pieces of artwork that will have you feeling accomplished and motivated to create more! Workshop registration includes Nova paint, lunch and refreshments. Students are responsible for transportation & lodging. Recommendation on the Student Info page. Betty Franks Betty is a self-taught abstract artist who’s love for fields of flowers shows up in bright, joyous ways on canvas and paper. Betty started painting when she turned 50. Although it seemed late in life to take up painting, the timing was right for her. After a long career in customer service management, she was ready to unleash her creative side. Keeping your financial information secure is absolutely our top priority. Please contact us if you prefer to pay by check or money order • A minimum of 10 students is required per workshop. If the minimum is not met 30 days before the start date, the workshop may be cancelled. Students will be notified via email. A full refund will be issued. It is recommended that student not make non-refundable travel or lodging arrangement prior to 30 days • If Santa Fe Artists Getaway cancels the workshop for any reason, students shall receive a full refund • Student cancellations must be submitted in writing, and received by • Cancellations made 31 days before the first day of class receive a full refund, less a $100 processing fee • Any cancellations made 30 days or less in advance of the first day will receive no refund, unless there is a wait list and another student takes that place; then the student shall receive a full refund less a $100 processing fee • No refund, credits or transfers will be applied on or after the workshop start date • No refund, credit or make-up will be offered for missed days • A $100 fee will be charged on all returned checks
