This intensive workshop explores abstract painting through creative approaches that help expand ways of seeing, creating, and engaging with your art. It expansive, while also being focused, that allows you to consider new possibilities, posing new questions, and experimenting with new methods and materials. Best suited for artists with a working knowledge of abstract painting and a regular studio practice. Workshop focuses on: • Discussions & demos on materials, tools, techniques, and the role they play in developing your work. • Who you are, what you do, and why you do it. • Creating an environment for interactive conversations, experimentation, growth, and deep connection with your practice. • Daily exercises to loosen up, help you focus, and utilize all your senses. • Afternoons for individual painting time. • Honest feedback and sharing with peers. • Critiques, and a one-on-one session with Krista. Participants will receive materials and assignments in advance to prepare for the workshop. Work in acrylic and water-based mediums. No oil. June 2, 3-5 PM - Welcome reception & set up, & round table June 3-7, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM - Workshop. $2,100 + 7.124%. Registration includes lunch, refreshments & welcome reception. Upon selection, you’ll receive payment information from Santa Fe Artist Getaway. Students are responsible for their lodging & transportation. She thinks of her work as maps or environments, exploring the imperfect, fleeting changes between the natural and the man-made worlds. There is nothing frugal about her paintings; instead, they are richly layered, sensually manipulated surfaces which seem to live and breathe. Concealing as much as they reveal, and weaving together gestural, energetic marks and fields of color, the opposing forces lure you in.

Your Health & Wellness Policy > COVID VACCINATION HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Payment and Refund Policy • Enrollment is only guaranteed with registration and full payment • We use PayPal and QuickBooks for your online payment and refunds. Keeping your financial information secure is absolutely our top priority. Please contact us if you prefer to pay by check or money order • A minimum of 9 students is required per workshop. If the minimum is not met 30 days before the start date, the workshop may be cancelled. Students will be notified via email. A full refund will be issued. It is recommended that student not make non-refundable travel or lodging arrangement prior to 30 days • If Santa Fe Artists Getaway cancels the workshop for any reason, students shall receive a full refund • Student cancellations must be submitted in writing, and received by btoddarts@gmail.com • Cancellations made 31 days before the first day of class receive a full refund, less a $200 processing fee • Any cancellations made 30 days or less in advance of the first day will receive no refund, unless there is a wait list and another student takes that place; then the student shall receive a full refund less a $200 processing fee • No refund, credits or transfers will be applied on or after the workshop start date • No refund, credit or make-up will be offered for missed days • A $200 fee will be charged on all returned checks
