Escape the ordinary and rediscover your creativity in a truly transformative way. You will move beyond traditional observation to explore painting through the lens of all five senses: sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. This is not just a painting course; it's an immersive journey designed to rewire your perception, deepen your connection to your surroundings, and unlock a more intuitive, vibrant artistic practice. Are you ready to transcend the limits of sight and let the rhythm of sound, the memory of scent, and the texture of feeling guide your brush? You will: • Shift your perception during a guided observation walk, sketching what feels important rather than what looks "correct." • Translate sound into color through rhythm exercises and painting inspired by tempo, tone, and vibration. • Explore texture and memory by experimenting with creating 2-D texture and an abstract painting inspired by a scent-triggered memory. • Connect flavor to feeling during a guided tasting experience, learning how taste evokes color and energy in your work. • Complete a final painting that synthesizes the input of all five senses, reflecting your transformed creative awareness. • Connect and unwind with casual introductions and dedicated time for reflection and group sharing, fostering a comfortable and inspiring creative community. You will leave this workshop with a fresh, intuitive approach to art, understanding how to use your sensory experience as the richest source of your creative voice. Ideal for artists ranging from novice to intermediate skill levels. $1000 + 7.124% tax = $1,062.24 total Registration includes paint, daily lunches, and welcome reception.
