This is for you if you are seeking… • New ways into abstraction • Becoming more creative • Focusing your studio time • Moving through life as an artist Here, you will grow your artistic voice, with open time in Studio Raven to create large abstracts. Get clear about who you are and why you create. Focus on your purpose and your work. Lean into what you feel… what you create… what you express. Workshop highlights • Master New Methods: Explore unique tool applications, experimental processes, and tactile mediums—including mixing oil and acrylic—to challenge your traditional way of creating. • Develop Your Visual Vocabulary: Experiment with simple shapes, spontaneous gestures, and limited color palettes to define and refine your unique artistic voice. • Playfully Unlearn: Embrace simplicity and basic gestures to move past technical hesitation, infusing your work with joy and dynamic movement. • Cultivate Creative Confidence: Transform your studio practice into a laboratory of discovery, developing a curious hand and mind ready to chart your own creative path. • Personalized Mentorship: Benefit from one-on-one time with the instructor to identify strengths, navigate challenges, and refocus your artistic goals. • Immersive Practice: Enjoy a balanced rhythm of daily instructor demos, structured assignments, and ample self-directed painting time. • Post-Workshop Growth: Network with a community of fellow artists and develop a sustainable plan to keep your practice evolving long after the session ends. Mornings include exercises to warm up and get into the creative zone. Afternoons are time to work independently. Work with acrylic & water-soluble mediums, along with oil drawing crayons. Work on large unstretched canvas on painting walls, and/or stretched canvas on easels. Take home studies on paper, and a finished canvas. October 14, 3-5 PM, meet, set up October 15 - 18, 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM workshop Limited to 9 students. Registration is $1,200 + 7.124% tax. Registration includes lunch, refreshments, welcome reception. Students are responsible for their own transportation & lodging. See Student Info page for Supply List. Your Health & Wellness Policy > COVID VACCINATION HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Payment and Refund Policy • Enrollment is only guaranteed with registration and full payment • We use PayPal and QuickBooks for your online payment and refunds. Keeping your financial information secure is absolutely our top priority. Please contact us if you prefer to pay by check or money order • A minimum of 9 students is required per workshop. If the minimum is not met 30 days before the start date, the workshop may be cancelled. Students will be notified via email. A full refund will be issued. It is recommended that student not make non-refundable travel or lodging arrangement prior to 30 days • If Santa Fe Artists Getaway cancels the workshop for any reason, students shall receive a full refund • Student cancellations must be submitted in writing, and received by btoddarts@gmail.com • Cancellations made 31 days before the first day of class receive a full refund, less a $200 processing fee • Any cancellations made 30 days or less in advance of the first day will receive no refund, unless there is a wait list and another student takes that place; then the student shall receive a full refund less a $200 processing fee • No refund, credits or transfers will be applied on or after the workshop start date • No refund, credit or make-up will be offered for missed days • A $200 fee will be charged on all returned checks
