Windows to Abstraction
Marcia Holmes, 3 days REGISTRATION CLOSED
- Started Jun 3Started Jun 3
Discover a new direction for your art! Marcia will introduce you to multiple approaches to creating abstract pastels starting from both nonobjective and representational sources. She will demonstrate her multimedia underpainting techniques, which is how she maintains looseness. Give yourself permission to play, break the rules, take some risks, “see” abstractly, and create expressive, intuitive art! Marcia will help you (with plenty of individual attention) transform your representational photo inspiration from a three-value study app foundation to your own abstract expressive or impressionist pastel. Multimedia ink, gouache, watercolor and thinned oil paint will be used as underpainting, finishing with pastel. You will develop pastels with artistic license exhibiting movement and release intuitive expressive final strokes. Lunch are refreshments included.
